Around the Block: Liberty, Indiana

A stop for ice cream turned into an early evening walk around the Union County Courthouse square in Liberty, Indiana

Sitting along U.S. Hwy 27, the town is the birthplace of future general Ambrose Burnside.

Dominating the square is the Union County Courthouse, built in 1890-91. Relocated to the square is Templeton Log Cabin, believed to be the first structure build by settlers in the area.
